freedom

I sat my university exam today. Afterwards I sat in the car and cried and cried. I think everything that has happened over the past few weeks hit me.
I ran out of time and was still furiously scribbling (notes) at the end.

Then  drove up the road and did some impulse fabric and wool shopping...

We are stunned over England - I have a teenager who is gutted he won't be able to live in England (we have Irish passports). Not sure if I could get in again using my British granddad card. Must say I did not follow the process a lot, but wow, this world is changing! Sometimes being down under is a good thing I guess. A great time to visit the sister-in-law living in England - who knows if she'll be able to legally stay for ever? It will take time to figure everything out.

More later - I need to figure a whole bunch of things out in my life.

  1. Well done for surviving Uni. You had a rocky few weeks and I hope things settle down for you know. Take a breath and knit x

As a Swiss/Italian double citizen with a British husband I feel sick to the heart about the English vote. I live in Scotland and I am proud to say she has unanimously voted to remain in the EU. Alas, it won't do me any good. The next couple of years are going to be a bit worrying I think. As if the state of the world wasn't worrying enough. already.

  2. I'm sure you'll have done very well in your exam. It's funny how things hit us all at once, isn't it? All the emotions from the last few weeks have surfaced all at once and hit you in this way. Take some time for yourself now that the exam is over, knitting is great therapy. I left another reply to your comment on my blog about resitting exams, I'm not really sure what the procedure is over here as it isn't something I've come up against.

  5. I know you did fine with your exam!! I'm glad it is over and you can finally rest. I hope the brexit is not permanent and that there is a reversal of the decision. It's not over yet!!

  6. Oh gosh Kimberley, I am sorry you had a few tears, but I think totally understandable after a big exam. We are all devestated by the Brexit result too. X
