Winter Project Link Party

Well Auckland is attempting to leave winter behind and summer is closely coming. We've had rain, rain, rain all winter and sunnier, warm weather would be welcome. The backyard looks very green. With the rain and sometimes warmer temps, the garden has gone vrompf!

Anyway, today I'm joining up with Jennifer's Winter Project Link Party at her blog ThistleBear.

I've been crafting a lot due to the cousin and I's "let's finish 12 items in 3 months" challenge. Yesterday I finished a top. Today I finished a sock for an old workmate and have yet to knit the mate for it. That will easily be knocked off with exam study and plane travel over the next 7 weeks.

The sock wool blanket is growing - over the last week I've knitted about 26 little squares! I'm on the last row now. It's the ends on the other side that will take weeks I suspect to do...

On the list to do also are 2 more socks for their mates, a quilt to finish, another jersey to finish, ends to sew in on dishcloths...

I'll be busy! One exam to get out of the way though!

  2. Your blanket is looking really good. I never do anything with my sock yarn remnants, happy to pass them on to someone who appreciates them more. Lost of ends to sew in.... Good luck with the exam. x

  7. Wow your blanket looks great. I like the idea of a sock blanket. I suppose if you've made many socks as presents, you get to keep a reminder. I thought I'd knit some socks (one day) that are plain but use the spare wool as patterned toes and heels. Saying that - I've not done that yet. All the best with the exams Kimberley. Cathy x
