I finished the first sock in under 24 hours and am already onto the next sock. I am trying to have 2 study days before school starts, but it is such a nice pottering day instead... I always like to get everything ship-shape before the new school term, as school takes over my life. Term 4 is a hard one for any school librarian around stocktake/getting material returned (1400 overdue from last term still...sigh!) etc.
Love how the stripes have worked - of course the next one will be slightly different... I'm thinking there is going to be a lot of wool left over - it is "scheepjes invicta colour" and is Dutch (not german as I thought!).
Thank you for all the lovely comments lately too - loving them!
I'm very impressed with your speedily knitted socks, Kimberley. The 1400 overdue books remind me of a re-occurring nightmare I have had of borrowing books from the library and losing track of them...frightful! Wishing you a happy term with punctual returns :)
ReplyDeleteyou are certainly inspired .. and looks as if it fits well too x
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely yarn, I love how it knits up, and wow! a sock in 24 hours. You are a speedy knitter. Hope you manage to catch up with those 1400 overdue books. I found a couple of school text books in Daniel's bedroom just recently, he's now in his third year at uni, ooops. Eleanor took them back last week, I think they were pleased to have them back.
ReplyDeleteGosh a sock in under 24 hours
ReplyDeleteI can say I did a pair in under a year LOL
